This study analyses how public policy, gender diversity in leadership, and project management practices impact sustainable workplaces in public sector organisations. It emphasises how gender-diverse leadership structures can contribute to good governance practices and sustainable development outcomes. A cross-sectoral quantitative approach was employed in this study, employing a survey of public sector employees in Indonesia. Public governance was measured using previously conducted governance studies, while the indicator variable for gender diversity in leadership was new. Data were analysed using SPSS. The results indicate that public governance has a positive impact on sustainable development, and that gender diversity in leadership can foster inclusive decision-making, broader stakeholder representation, and innovation within organisations. This study has limitations, including its cross-sectoral design and its overly specific context within public institutions. Further research is expected to require an in-depth investigation of gender challenges in organisations, particularly across sectors other than just the public sector, and can provide impact through long-term value and can impact sustainable policy improvement.
